It's not the VPD that is the problem - it's the decision and law makers. The police officers are probably more outraged at what happened than anyone else. This is their city too, one they've sworn to protect, and they were handcuffed and not adequately supported.

I was downtown at 11:00am this morning, by that time the streets [HTML_REMOVED] sidewalks were cleaner than they usually are. I saw 4 or 5 volunteers per block, one of them was even using tongs to pull out a cigarette butt out of a tree grate. According to their Twitter account by noon they had run out of areas to clean up.

The only visible evidence of the night before was the boarded up window and the huge number of restoration company trucks parked in front of businesses.

We could resolve this vigilante-style?
