What did they accomplish?

Nothing.

And their failure to recognize how critical banks are to a functioning economy is a palmface at worst.

lame protest . but why did they arrest them?

is going big on a bike the only way to get you stoked on the sport? what happened to riding with your bros, travelling, and riding unique places, to get people stoked on riding?

fines are useless. there needs to be more punches to the throat.

They should really be protesting at shopping malls and big box stores as its rampant consumerism that has caused all of this…but that doesn't make a good a headline and pisses of Joe Public. Wall Street makes for an easily identifiable enemy that Joe Average (with his huge credit card debt, three mortgages, two trucks, jet ski, ATV and motorized bar stool) can hate.

Again, TBP is keeping tabs on NBR…

The politics of this are quite fascinating: The bankers may own the corrupt US Congress, and they may have intimidated or bought off many of the more cowardly State Attorneys General, but there simply are too many counties and District Attorneys representing local interests throughout the country to all be bought off. Buying/intimidating/controlling all of the local country District Attorneys may be like herding cats — nearly impossible.

"Pressed by Wall Street for higher profits, US corporations relocated their factories abroad.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, as of 2009 average hourly take-home pay for US workers was $23.03. Social insurance expenditures add $7.90 to hourly compensation and benefits paid by employers add $2.60 per hour for a total labor compensation cost of $33.53.

In China, as of 2008 total hourly labor cost was $1.36, and India[HTML_REMOVED]#8217;s is within a few cents of this amount.

Thus, a corporation that moves 1,000 jobs to China saves $32,000 every hour…"
