Yup, one in the dp, other in the straight pipe, which just that now. So I could be catless. AirCare's goin out still right?

New pipe before anything man, hog that stock system out…aircare is done.
Then you can up your fuel system and max the boost on your stock turbo and be ready for the new one.

You will build boost way faster with a catless dp. You'll need a tune though, and a plug and play probably wont cut it.

This is actually kind of sexy, other than the rear end. But, I guess I wouldn't have to look at it if I'm inside driving it…

Those are all part of the plan. The corksport dp looks sufficient but the cp-e looks more efficient for some reason yet twice the price. AP was on the way but given the dollar conversion, I'm really in no rush and went with the previously mentioned SRI/TIP combo.

If only this was in the budget. $2600US for cp-e setup so highly unlikely. Might try an e-bay 3" dp and with the savings from the ebay pipe could go to the cp-e mani; or even ebay mani too. No point in not replacing the mani if I'm doing the intake, turbo and dp; just leave another bottleneck to get at later.

Lets just say my car is envious b/c this is the oem ms6 mani. It's hideous.

Proper injectors/fueling are the bane of this block. I doubt my stock turbo could handle much more than whats it getting. By all reports of other k04's on this platform, it shouldve been toast by now.

Wow oem is hideous! And that's just the header…that must be a heat sink or something in between there.
Sometimes a good muffler shack get you going after the header.

Polishing out windshield……….?
So I watched a couple of on-line vids but, at hand, I got some c-6 coarse rubbing compound, some Mequires power cleaner rated "heavy" and some G6 "superfinish" range and a wool(?) pad I can chuck in a drill.
I realize the drills running approx. 2200rpm and stuff above supposed to be used around 1500rpm but that's on paint, not glass amiright?
This glass is trash so I ain't expecting a miracle here just some improvement. Think any of that stuff will work?

I'm no expert but seems a bit pricey. There was an EVO 2 Final Edition on Vancouver Craigslist last fall for $50,000 CAD. Either way, cool car.

I think that price is more world market pricing than local. Highly sought after/somewhat rare/collectable cars.

It could either a faulty relay, the one that regulates the fuel pump circuit. Could be a dirty fuel pump sock. Could be a fuel pump going bad. Could be bad gas. Could be a faulty ECU. Could be a faulty Fuel Pressure Sensor. It could be a clogged fuel filter. Could be a faulty ICM. It could also be a faulty distributor. Perhaps time to change out the spark plugs, rotor, and distributor cap. It can also be a faulty ECT. Factually it could be anyone of these, or a combination of…

So, the old broad was making noises (2000 TT coupe- over a quarter million K on the car/trans).
At the shop : 5 speed pulled apart awaiting delivery of parts for a refresh.

Those are some shiny looking gears. Low mileage too. I just rolled over 226,xxxkm on a 2006.

I've managed to acquire all but two important pieces for my Mazdarati rebuild. Those being the two moar expensive items such as the Corksport Turbo and Fullrace Prostock Tubular exhaust mani which will be heat coated silver.

Over the last two days I've ordered new brake pads, power steering cooler as that actually replaces the PS hardline which is slightly dripping on my car for $90 US as opposed to about $550 for the hardline.

Also ordered: Downpipe, intercooler, IC tubes since my OE turbo is spewing oil and filth up the hot side to the point where I can now see oil blow by residue on my BOV trumpet; new rad hoses, EGR delete/plug, 3.5 bar MAP, Cobb AP v3, 3" intake but no catch can yet. And then, dyno tune time after all said and installed so I'll have some numbers. If I break 400hp, I'll be surprised due to fueling limitations with the stock injectors but I'll hope 430. Or that'll be next summer targets with a new intake mani and some top end work.

FYI word of warning for anyone out of the Cobb loop; the Cobb ATR program which used to be free to tune your own car with your own AP is now pretty much only a pro-tuner based option. Something called Versatuner is your newer option.
