Ya I drive a 90D regularly and I overall it’s a super boring vehicle but the snap of instant torque is fucking awesome and the COG on these things is crazy low.

I heard option them completely or interior so sterile you fall asleep like doctor waiting room.

Ya I know people who really go for the look of em (like a future spaceship out of a movie) but I’ll take a Benz or Porsche at that price point any day over the Tesla interior.

To my eye the outside is nice and big but also a very safe shape. And now VERY stale.

I have serious doubts the Cybertruck will look anything like the original when they clearly like to have as inoffensive and consistent a look as possible.

MAF sensors can be very sensitive. Had to get the wife's car towed home the other day. Engine would start but would not keep running. Turns out it was a small piece of fuzz from the air filter (foam layer) that was sitting on the small wires that make up part of the mass air flow sensor. I blew it off with canned air, put it all back together & has seemed fine for about 10 days now. I guess the fuzz was giving the MAF sensor a false reading. Something to keep in mind in the future.

(Edit; After reading Niels story I should have mentioned that yes, the check engine light did come on. I disconnected the battery to clear it after I found the problem.)

Reminds me of a problem I had with my previous Subaru that took a while to track down. The engine would randomly die every once in a while (preferably somewhere remote of course) and the check engine light would come on. It would always start again after a while and the check engine light would turn off again before I could have it checked. Then it happened again in my street and I was able to get a mechanic read out the error code and it turned out the crankshaft or camshaft position sensor (don't remember which one) was faulty, a $15 or $20 replacement fixed it.

My current Subaru is now 22 years old and just got a clean bill of health yesterday, should be good for another year and hopefully a few more ;-)

My recent issue with my car not wanting to stay running was the pcv hose blew off from just a bit too much boost. Probably should finish tuning it.

That is impressive! No head gasket issues? Mines going on 17 but already a block transplant.. and lotsa other stuff.. and needs more! Lol? As I've told many people, had I known it was a limited edition jdm mazda I would've stayed far away.

I did the head gaskets a few years ago ;-)

Bought it 9 years ago from the 1st owner with only 90K on the clock, now at 145K. Mechanically in good shape but starting to have some rust spots, leaks, and other old age symptoms.

You could probably sell it and get more than what you paid for it. Or so it sort of seems with used car prices.

This was comical to me. I replaced the charcoal fuel vapor cannister recently due to a code and then opened some mail from mazda and voila, a fuel system recall for the rx8 and speed6.

Luckily I don't have an rx8 where the issue may cause a car fire. And obviously I had the mail unopened well before I had the cannister replaced.
