Slightly different category to the powerwagon above but this excites me greatly….

Everything Mazda does lately is just great, test drove a 6spd "3" and "6" awhile back and was impressed all around. Hopefully the next rotary powerplant is more durable and effecient.

Before the shift point, you mean consistently at a certain rpm?

Yeah, seems to be it'll start surging a couple hundred rpm before where I usually shift (2000rpm)

Is it necessary to make up a bill of sale for a vehicle that shouldn't be driven on road? Dude is buying my rusty old truck for parts and trailering it home, I just don't want to be responsible for anything. Doubt he will want it if I pull the vins and papers as its a driveable truck if the rust and brakes are addressed.

I remember seeing an earlier prototype of this, silver on supercars.net I think and thinking someone at Mazda hq just watched flight of the navigator and was looking at a 3 design.

I believe we can agree on this. It is sexy. Almost like a Mazda sls.

Try something simple and clean the maf sensor. Cdn tire or lordco will have cans of CRC sensor cleaner. At this point check air filter as well.

I would still make him put in in his name before it leaves your hands. If anything happens you can still be on the hook. Even if it means dropping your price by 20 bucks to cover the transfer costs. You can even say you sold it for 50 bucks because you just want it gone and he is taking it for parts. There are a few Vin plates on cars that are hard to find so you might not get them all.

The vehicle ownership should be registered, and if so you would want to transfer that.

ICBC says:

I'm selling or giving away my vehicle for scrap and parts. What do I need to do?

_You'll need your plates, insurance and registration papers—don't scrap these! The vehicle's title of ownership will also have to be transferred to the person you're selling (or giving) the vehicle to. This will ensure you're no longer listed as the owner.

To transfer ownership, both of you will need to sign a Transfer/Tax form. You can pick one up at any Autoplan broker. We definitely recommend going together with the buyer to the broker's office to complete the transfer._

^Thanks. So the transfer/tax form should have me covered. I'll be sure to see the transfer to the new owner is completed even if he doesn't plan to insure it ever.

^yes…a fully completed transfer, retain your copy, and you're done…but going with the guy to an office and getting the transfer finalized is 100% done.
If you settle on just a completed transfer…physically eyeball and confirm the name, signature and DL# being put on it btw

So now that Audi and Porsche have been found cheating, VW gasoline engines are being examined and it looks like they been a cheating' there too.

I wonder if it's just VW, or are other manufacturers going to be scrutinized too?

Isn't Porsche owned by VW? So no surprise there.
