Not on nbr's radar? Malaysian Airlines flight MH370

Having not read anything about it here on the boards - is that not a seriously weird incident? A Boeing goes off Radar, governments and security agencies look for wreckage in the Pacific near Malaysia and neighboring countries - now it seems as if the flight did not crash but probably fly to some unknown place, maybe somewhere in Central Asia.

What does nbr think? Tinfoil or no tinfoil?

A lot of people here think it was a Malaysian act of aggression.

A lot of people here are dumb.

Plenty of conspiracies and armchair experts on CBC comments. NBR isn't really needed in this case.

But I can't wait to hear what counterpunch has to say

Chinese satellite detected big debris field in ocean. Planes sent out to view debris find nothing. lol trusting Chinese satellite imagery.

The reporting on this has been all over the map.

Okay I admit it. I took the plane. Anyone want to buy a Boeing 777?

next most recent disappearance was in the early 70's. I guess we've been pretty good at optimizing flights since then? Most recent news says that onboard instruments pinged satellites 7 hours after departure.

i keep wondering if this is going to end up being one of those things were somebody was really sneaky, landed the plane in some civilian airstrip. unloaded some super top secret cargo and now they've had a week long head start to disappear only to resurface months later as an international threat. …. or most likely it is something non-diabolical and we end up finding the mechanical issue and prevent it from happening ever again.

If I were running the search, I'd be checking out old cold war abandoned military airstrips.
