Hi,

I'm trying to figure out my living situation for next year and I was wondering if any of you knew where I should start looking for housing in North Van?

Ive been on a few websites like craigslist and rentbc.com but there are slim pickings. I cannot seem to find all of the good listings.

If you know where some good rental house listings would be please let me know.

I would really appreciate it.

I don't think there are any good listings. The only time we ever got a good place was through people who knew someone.

When we rented our place in north van, we found it by driving around, looking for "for rent" signs. There are a lot of rental apartment buildings just off lonsdale, and given the demand they don't always spend the money for advertising. Basically you start at the highway and zig-zag your way back and forth across lonsdale, from St Georges to Chesterfield, hitting all of the streets until you're at the bottom, down at the quay. Then repeat the next weekend. It took us several attempts, but it paid off.

I live around 13th and the Boulevard, it's the best area in my opinion. say from 10th to 19th moody/ridgeway area. quiet, close to everything, lots of green space.

I am in SF at the moment looking at the numbers. I am going to be up there around our thanksgiving so I will make sure to go around and look for rent signs.

My girlfriend is saying that Ski passes are 400$ when your a student. I will probably be headed up the hill a few times a month. I hate when the skate parks get all wet in the winter. Is there an indoor park on the shore?
