Nissan Titans... A used truck thread

There's a 2012 for sale here in town for 25,800 off the lot after haggling (was 28,000 sticker), it's the SL w/ no nav, after market skid plates, the tighter anti bug grill, clean car fax, levelling kit, no maintenance problems saving one plugged up sensor. It has 30,000 km on it.

Other then the mileage (I drive about 13,000 km in a year on this vehicle, probably less going forward since we bought a used Murano to haul the family) are there any glaring problems ya'll know about with this truck?

I should add - I need the truck for work to get onto haul roads occasionally with a light load in the box. It's mostly going to be camping / pavement princess though. The levelling kit is 100% necessary though for the ruts I see in the bush. As are the aftermarket skid plates.

What are these aftermarket skid plates? I wonder if they just took the plates off the Pro-4X.
My coworker picked up a 14 Titan CrewCab new off the lot for like 34,000. At some point the 15s should drop in price since the 16 is a redesign.

It is bush-league that a '16 Frontier CrewCab Pro4X only comes w/Auto. King Cab gets a 6spd manual.
Might stop by Nissan later this week to find out when they stopped that option.

Why slag free swag?

ummm, as your doctor i recommend against riding with a scaphoid fracture.

I should teach my wife to drive stick. It's just thicker steel. Pretty sure it improves mileage.

I might go for a lower end, older, higher mileage model too. Saw some stuff about brake and header problems thou pre-2008 - you guys know if there's much to those claims?

I like the current Titan. The new one is probably the ugliest truck I've ever seen.

Here, lets look at Titan TSB's, or Technical Servive Bulletins

Everyone should google "insert vehicle of choice here tsb". And a quick scan of that list and there's a website called "nissanproblems.com". Have at 'er.
