Bettman saved the season. Yup, it's true - Don Cherry said so.

This is a strange deal. Why does Toronto get to start at 7-0?

Really?

The evil fans of Vancouver decided it was an even-ing out clause for the Leafs singing Luongo.

As pissed off as I am at the whole thing I'll probably cave in less than a month and watch it again. I prefer watching my kids play hockey though. That's some funny action.

Wrong. Always.

Singing? I knew the guy was a pretty good goalie and could play some mean poker. But I had no idea he had a good set of pipes. Will he do the anthem one night perhaps?

Luongo's starting a new career in Opera. His first role will be "Madama Butterfly".

I'm looking forward to watching Ron Mclean stare eagerly at people's groins again. I'll admit to that.

The only thing I want is to see a bunch of empty seats on TV come opening night. Easy for me to say as I don't hold season tickets, but maybe it would send a message (at least to the sponsors) if HNIC ran a triple header for opening day and every Canadian rink was empty.

I mean lets be honest, the HD TV's make watching the game from home with affordable beer a fantastic fan experience. Who needs to shell out hundreds of dollars for tickets/parking/concession?

Send a message, stay at home.

Anyone NOT understand that the teams make significant revenue from selling TV rights?

Lol at a crowd of schmoes who will pay ridiculous prices for bike trinkets bitching about the value they don't get from the NHL.

I bet that the big teams will all sell out and the only backlash from fans is just going to be some angry internet comments.
