It's obvious it wasn't made for a new generation of fans. It was made to appease the 30something fans who hated the prequels and just wanted more of the same..

I think someone needs to pop into a toy store.

Maybe it was for both new and old fans, but I think if anyone is going to rant about it being too similar to A New Hope it is the original fans of the first three so I am not sure how that appeases the super fans that curse Jar Jar name. Either way I am not sure if making the movie similar to one that was released in 1979 is that much of a movie high crime. As long as JJ takes us somewhere completely different in the next 2 I am good with his decision.

According to my 9 year old she thought it was cool. She sat through the entire movie last Christmas with rapt attention, when I looked over she was completely immersed in her first ever star wars in a theatre.

She saw the latest Trailer to Rogue One and asked to go see it with mom and dad.

Oh, yeah……and announced she will dress up as a Knight of Ren for Christmas.

I take a 9 year old's voice over a orange shaded ball bag of negativity any day.

I stand corrected. Wow, I was only 4 years old when it came out and I loved it… which means my 4 year old daughter is ready to learn the ways of the Jedi.. :) Thanks Switch.

I thought it was better than the force awakens by a large margin. I give it 4 out of 5 wookies.

Fans of the original Star Wars trilogy and it's beloved cast will find catharsis in Rogue One.

I didn't care for The Force Awakens at all and was reluctant to see Rogue, but glad I did.

If the soundtrack was by Williams I think it would have bettered Empire for me.

Oh and the deliberately multicultural cast was a bit obvious but still, great entertainment.

As someone that did not mind the prequels you can take my review with a grain of salt, but I think Rogue was the best one since I watched the originals as a kid. It doesn't do much with the storyline as it is about the team that gets the Death Star deets and we already knew that, and there is not Jedi to speak of, but damn is it filled with laser filled action.
