You can configure how the touchpad behaves, probably through control panel or an application already installed.

Thanks. After much swearing and playing with teh google I couldn't find a fix that would work with this particular laptop, so I went to the Asus downloads area and downloaded a touchpad upgrade, and while installing it, it asked me if I wanted to remove the (stupid fucking) 'Smart' Gestures feature. Oh joy and tears of happiness!! My laptop is finally working.

since this is the computer geek thread (well, one of them…)

- wireless router: will I have signal problems if I mount the router inside a wooden kitchen cabinet?

It's a cheap Telus give away router, and I currently loose a bar or two when I go upstairs. I am building a cabinet where the router currently sits, and hiding it inside would be ideal for looks.

Wood won't stop it. The kind of stuff that wrecks the signal is the microwave and shit like that.

should be fine have at her.

The raw, primitive, unrefined trails that see little to no maintenance are the kinds of trails that really build skill. What kind of skills do you learn riding a trail that was made by a machine, groomed to perfection and void of any rocks, roots or other obstacles that could send you careening over the handlebars?

Just make sure the cabinet is ventilated so that you don't get overheating of the hardware.

Also, stay away from those loose bars.

On a related note, NCIX closed all their Ontario stores, and I've read they might close one or more in British Columbia.
