Over here, Rangers are all the rage with the local city slickers. Amazing how many folks over here are driving one.

I really like the looks of the fan-made Bronco. Tasty.

apparently when OJ did that car chase on TV news in a white bronco the next year sales of the Bronco went up 37%, so Ford was planning to disco the 2door bronco but they kept making it for a bit more

apparently OJ was driving so slow cuz he was listening to a Bball game on the radio

The Rangers have always been available in SEAsia.

Malaysia has a cool version, I think that's what'll be available in Canada.
4WD, lifted a bit, diesel engine, costs less than 20k.

Would sell like crazy in Canada.

If the price is right. Taco's are huge money, too much IMO. If they come in at the same price fuggetaboutit.

I priced out a fancy Ranger on ford.fr and the pricing better be a lot better in NA. $58k (pre-tax) for a Ranger is a lot of money.

a tacoma loaded to the tits is 53K

I image a loaded new ranger will be close

I had an 05 Tacoma quad cab till early last year when I bought a used 08 quad cab Chevy.

Got to say, while the Chev might be physically 2x the size, wow do I miss my Toyota. If it wasn't for towing a big trailer I would buy another Toyota in a heartbeat. Not only was it a well thought out vehicle and a joy to drive, it was also way nicer to drive off road. Obviously my truck being 2500hd and a diesel makes it a little stiffer of a ride off road.

While I can see how the Tacoma is pointless for some, to others it is a great truck.

Also I lost about $22,0000 over 10 yrs with the Tacoma, while the guy who owned my truck likely lost $50,000 over a shorter time frame.

Yep, work in Forestry, drive Tacoma's and f150s mostly, own a b4000. It's pretty absurd how much more money we put into the f150s. The Taco's are definitely way nicer to drive.

Resale values dont lie.. they're just built to a higher standard with better components.
I can get into a taco with 300k on the odometer and it will still feel good and tight to drive minimal rattles in the interior.. domestics, not so much, but hey at least it can tow a trailer once in a blue moon.

Ha Ha! Made you look.

A new fully loaded Tacoma has trouble getting itself up a hill, so I'd take any towing numbers with a serious grain of salt.

Ford does own the stupid truck price was with the Limited F-150. $73,150 to start for a gas half tonne.
