Its worth $8. I've watched a couple of skateboard docs: Dogtown and Z Boys, The John Cardiel story - which was great.

Then for the kids there are some flicks on there they can watch. Totally worth it, even if the selection isn't the best.

just installed on the ps3, but I think I'll wait a month to go for the trial. Already use zip.ca and have watched hundreds of Blueray movies.

so how's the HD and surround on these netflix movies? If as good as Blueray, then I might bite.

did this today with my PS3, the install is 19mb and takes no time to install, you must give them credit card for the trail which they will charge after the free period, but IMO it is well worth the $7.99, the GF is already stoked and wants to cancel our cable (which will not happen cause I need my hockey fix), it has tons of kids stuff for our little one and I am not ashamed to say it but Ren and Stimpy is on there!! Some good docs as mentioned and some really obscure titles as well, a ton of B grade flims that most people would not pay for if in the theatre or rent, but you watch 2 movies a month and that pays for itself from renting a DVD or Blu ray, the quality is pretty good even over the wireless, hope the free trail is only a glimpse into what they have and more titles open up after we start paying for the service….GF wants Bones….

If their selection improves soon I'll cancel cable and go to over the air HD for cbc hockey. Great service.

Hell yes! Cardiel's doc was so good! Hard to watch without getting teary eyed and inspired. He's gotta be the most stoked skateboarder of all time. Max Schaaf has a really good one on there too. Cool to see what he's done now that he's not skating full time.

OTA 3 channels in HD for me, plus www.zip.ca for movies in the mail on Blueray. $10.95 for 1 DVD out at a time, unlimited qty (usually we get 5-6 per month in the winter). We've been super happy with it for the last 375 movies we've rented (5 years or so).

PM me if you're interested - let me refer you (yeah, I get free rentals out of it)
