whenever i plug the power cord into the back of the x-box it makes a crackling sound, any thinkers out there know how to solve this one?

im hoping I just need to replace the cord, but im not sure if the sound is coming from the cord going into the x-box or if its the x-box itself

Go to Rogers/Blockbuster and rent yourself an Xbox and then make the switch. New xbox for $30 instead of $200

It would work except that the next person to get it will take it back to them and be like "the x box i rented from you doesn't work." Then they will go back to you considering you were the last to rent it and be like "buy us a new x box."
