MTV VMAs

I don't understand award shows. Perhaps they're important, perhaps they're just a way to sell more albums and movie tickets. Either way, I'm sure they are fun to attend and bask in the glow of beautiful people and drink some free drinks.

Anywho, I think LORDE is an awesome pop musician. So how is it that she won best rock video for her track 'Royals' - she wears a lot of black, she must be a rock musician right?

She was up against Arctic Monkeys, Black Keys and Linkin Park. All groups who use guitars and live drummers….key to rock music no?

Who cares about all the others with Beyonce's performance was just completely solid and the only thing that really mattered at the VMA's. It was flawless.
