This has worked well in the past, as many on the NSMB board work outdoors in BC… People here have helped a great deal with radio tower site location in areas of northern BC, when I needed more info on a site but didn't have the time to take a three-day round trip out to the area.

If anyone here knows an owner of a mountaintop/hill-top location that is completely privately owned, not a crown land tenure and would like to earn some money in exchange for leasing a small area for radio tower use, get in contact.

The value of the site and likelihood of it being built-out as a tower site depend on what population area it is near, its height and the practical cost of building a logging road to the top. Sites that are not near a very populated area but are located in a key location to serve as a relay also have value, depending on where they are.

What is it for? What I'm getting at is if there are already towers/relays being on the site then is your service not needed?

Mt. Timothy next to Lac La Hache comes to mind. But there are a whole bunch of towers up there already. If I remember correctly, some of the site is tenure and some is freehold title.

Shoot me a PM and maybe I can help you out for the Cariboo/Chilcotin.

Does the provincial online cadastre mapping have a topo layer? That could help you out. Just look for parcels out in the middle of nowhere and above a certain elevation. I hear they have a google earth cadastral layer as well.

can't get enough of that sodium benzoate…

I already have detailed topo maps for the whole province, just looking for anyone that personally knows of a land owner that might be interested. Many of the most obvious sites are already occupied by numerous towers, some due to market inertia (one company got a crown land tenure up there and built a road, strung power lines, second, third and fourth companies followed along because the road was already in place).

why are they building so many towers north of PG? im not complaining there giving me money but paying me to lay out the tower when they could use a hand-held GPS a pocket compass and tape is pretty ridiculous. i guess im allready there to mark the lease corners and do the location certificate so why not.
