motorcycles [street legal]
Vstrom is probably the touring bike I would most consider, go 650 or 1000?
Oh jeez, I did not notice this post.
It's actually the SV650. Smaller and lighter than a V-strom, but shittier for touring.

What's up with Honda and all the low CC models? 125 / 250 / 500
Would a 500 even be that great on the open highway? I don't see it.

The last couple of years Honda has had a promotion to get a new small bike, helmet, jacket and maybe a course to get new riders into the sport.
Anyone familiar with these cats?

Why are they so cheap?
^chinese production bobbers (not customs). kinda neat, actually.
^ Yep, I like their thinking. No frills, small engine, simple to work on, nothing fancy. Just enough to get you out on the road and some wind in yoru hair.
Adventure West in langley sells them. i took a pretty close look at them at the motorcycle show at Tradex last month. They actually seemed well put together, but very light weight. Looked and felt like a bike that anyone over 150 pounds would pound the shit out of on crappy streets around here. I didnt ask about warranty and such, or ease of replacement parts if anything breaks. I do know the shop that sells them is owned by a decent mechanic.
