I spammed this in another thread a couple weeks back when I got it. My first bike :D

Loving it so far.

Good to see my SV went to someone who will take care of it! Check out svrider.com for everything you need to know about the SV

Parts/ mods on that bike are, SVracing parts 2.5" clip ons and SVracing parts rear sets, racetech .90kg springs in the front end, motosliders, steve's aTRE and I did the TPS(throttle position sensor) adjustment. Enjoy the bike! It couldn't have been a better first bike for me.

My first bike. Looking back it is a miracle I am still alive. I have heard these bikes can reach 240kmph on certain stretches of the crowsnest pass, although I have no way of personally verifying this ;)

My current bike. Something a bit more relaxed for the longer trips.

My GSX750R capped out at 289kmh as a stock machine. My stock ZX1000R topped at 299.9kmh which was a function of the govenor within. I had the ZXR later "tracked out" with Ti exhaust, CF pipes, a chip, PC and some chain/timing mods. I got it up to 318kmh on the Delta flats between Richmond and Tsawwassen and could have easily got it faster, but the road was getting eaten up too quick and the traffic was prevalent. Somewhere between 300kmh and 310kmh it dawned on me that any issue at that speed would atomize me, and although the bike felt better north of 200kmh, it simply was "too much" bike for me.

Since family, I've sold it. If I ever get back on a ride, it'll either be a cruiser, or a maximum 750cc rocket (probably another GSXr, those are by far my fave sized crotch rockets - better than a 600cc, better than a 1000cc). Maybe a Desmosedici is in that future as well :woot:

Oh wow, thanks for the response I was not expecting that!

Great info, I had all the mods figured out before I bought, except for the stiffer springs, aTRE and that you did the TPS adjustment.

Cheers, and happy riding!

Is that a fast bike?

Is that a fast bike?

If I want it to be. But there's no place for that on the street
