davem for mod - DaveMod!

Actually this place has degraded so much in the past year or so that it's just not that entertaining any more. The management doesn't seem to care so I guess it just isn't the place for me any more. I can't check it out any time my kid is around me as the subject matter seemingly has no boundaries even in the bike related threads, and actual informative bike related threads are few and far between now anyways. Tags have made it even worse. If I am reading a bike related thread that hasn't been littered with porn yet, I still have to run the risk of explaining what "fuck off and die" and "suck it bitch" means to my 5 year old if she happens to be sitting beside me while I'm reading the latest thread about horses on the trails for example. Most informative or industry people have either been run off or have zero interest in contributing here.

oh I agree, but just grumbling about it is about the same as taking a hard stance on a political issue by reposting it on your facebook page.

if you are serious, email or message Cam directly.

Didn't he suggest a thread with a poll on the Tag Matter?

yup - that's why i thought carrot top brought up some valid points.

the inmates will get away with as much as they're allowed to tho and while the mod team has said to use the report post function you can't do that for tags.

if the more colourful posts could be contained to specific threads it might not be so bad.

We don't know what our limits are, so to start something with the idea of being limited actually ends up limiting us.

Biggest issue is the stupid tags and them being anonymous.

Seen this at Queen's. Some genius thought staff reviews being anonymous was a good idea. Reality is without a name attached it is way to easy for people to make up stuff and say things they would never say if they are held accountable for their words.

Same thing with the Tags. Biggest improvement right now….toss them in the Internet Dempsy Dumpster.

I agree. NSMB used to be my first stop online. Now its for when I am super bored and cant find anything else to do.

Being an agoraphobic adrenaline junkie would be pretty convenient, because you could get your rush from just going to the store to get some milk instead of having to jump off a mountain or out of an airplane.

they also call me "balloon"

I'm here for the tags!

Funny how the people here that whined about the lack of "freedom of expression" and the. turned this place into an even bigger sausagefest are now complaining the most.

Freedom of expression and anonymously putting random crap into tags are two very different things.

If I post something "offensive" I am somewhat accountable to the community and could be banned.

If I tag something offensive, I can hide like a bitch behind the fact that no one knows I did it.

Posting rude tags in legit threads about biking is poor form.

Anyone want to fess up to the tags in the pemby horse thread?

Highly doubt it.

There are a handful of you whiny tits that have turned away so many reputable users from visiting this site anymore. Perhaps eliminating the tags should be second to eliminating some of you..

I vote for dropping tags and reps. Brings out more bravado than they are worth.

I'm pretty sure the moderators can tell who creates a tag, so you could always ask one of them who the author is.

My Alcoa hat is telling me that since nothing is being done about the tags, the mods are in on it.
