When you have to put the kid in and take out of the car seat, higher is better. Easier on the back.
SUV is way better.
A guy at work had a Pacifica, it was a piece of shit. I would go nowhere near a Chrysler.

yeah stay away from Chrysler other than the big PU with the cummins, but then you get a good motor wrapped in a piece of shit
I would have at least 6 brown pants incidents per season in my SUV due to short WB/high CG, they don't really handle that great at highway speed on ice/snow, other than the odd times off road capability would have been nice I found a golf or a mini van > SUV for dealing with winter for 5 months of the year.
how much has OP looked into the crossover vehicals ?
I've looked a bit, the main issue being young kids with swing doors + a garage that doesn't have a huge opening.
We have a Santa Fe now, but need something bigger. Most of the larger SUVs will be too tall/wide.
For Chrysler, sounds like every review is a hit or miss on whether you get a good one or a lemon. I get the same thing from reviews on the Honda/Toyota, so really it is a crap-shoot.

If you want to purchase a Do do get
never heard of that brand before
We’ve gone thru and thankfully are out of that phase. Minivans are very purposeful though. It’s amazing how much stuff you can carry. They’re tough in small parking spots tho. Super comfy.
The sliding doors as previously mentioned were important for us too.
We had a Sienna but the Odysseey is equally good.
I’d get one if that’s where you are in life knowing it won’t last forever.
Just got a Dodge Caravan in January and love it. One kid, one more on the way. Would totally buy again. Caravan because it's LOTS cheaper than anything else out there, and mechanically simple. Once you get loaded up on options I would start to think of an Odyssey or Sienna. I figure I will run this one hard until I'm finished with my minivan years, which might be never. Maybe the next one will be fancier, maybe not. I kind of think of a minivan like a pickup truck - it should be function over form - rather than a lot of amenities and air conditioned seats.
Fuel economy is just under 9 L/100 km too, which is nice. Fits a few bikes inside in case the weather is bad. I can sleep in it. Good in the snow. So many cupholders.
Two thumbs up.
