Short beds more than enough room for me.. I'd rather have the 4 doors than the extra box space cause I don't need to haul that much crap.. and the 4 door long box just looks too long and cumbersome.

I’m not a truck kind of guy but what do people think of Gladiators?
Seem to be expensive - especially when you compare them to Wranglers which I would have thought would have a lot in common.
Myself, I’ve been liking some of the sweet 4Runner set ups I’m seeing around lately.

Have had two extended cab long box trucks in a row. Good for a slide in camper, sleeping if you're under 6'1" or getting heavy things over/ahead of the axle.
5ft would work fine for me though. I can't say I'd ever get a crew cab long box midsize, defeats the purpose of a small truck for me.

We can be truck buds! Although mine is loaded with camping gear significantly more than 5%. But like I said it all fits.
And syncro, good luck getting your limo out here lol these trucks are perfect size for what I do.

Been thinking about a frontier pro4 x or finding a used Xterra p4x with low mileage. Have to take one for a spin see how it drives. I had a 1994 pathfinder for years, thing was bomb proof. Went 275,000km before I had to replace the original clutch. Besides consumables that truck never had any issues.

The 4 door Gladiator is really long looking.. and it's a Chrysler product.. yuck.. if you get the Rubicon they're pretty cool, 4 to one transfer case and locking front and rear diffs. Lots of aftermarket support.
The 4 runners are undoubtedly cool, also stupid expensive.
I'm liking what ford did with the new bronco. Undoubtedly there will be lots of used 4 runners and rubicons at the ford dealer in the future.

You'll definitely want the pro 4x.
The value for money especially used that you do get from the Xterra and frontier compared to the Toyota offering is ridiculous. For 20g you can get one with around 100k on it, where as a taco with 150k would still set you back 30.. i just don't see the Toyota tax being justifiable, reliability is going to be pretty much the same, there's enough aftermarket support on the second gens to keep it interesting..

Haha - no doubt. It's not really an adventure truck but it can be pretty capable. I took it up to Norton Lake a few years ago when I did the trip out to the north end of Indian arm. I was more just chuckling at the idea of a smaller truck having a huge turning radius.
Ya the turning radius is pretty bad haha, like because it's a smaller truck it stands out to you even more.. I find myself saying "c'mon turn bitch" quite a lot, lmao.
