Any one riding an EXP Rekluse set up? I had a pro z, liked it. I am told the EXP gives you close to stock clutch feel and behavior. Also, can you bump start this model? No dice with the pro z for a bump start.

WTF, Over?

Thinking about unloading my bike for a fair price. Anyone? Anyone?

There is a CR500 in South Carolina with my name on it.

Are you serious? You're selling your YZ for a CR500? Do you really need more power?

Need more power? I don't think anybody needs more power. The key word here is "want". Or is it "lust"? Lusting for 65hp!

Come on, a brand new never STARTED '96 CR500 for sale. God damn.

Want and curiosity wins out over practicality every time (with me anyway).

after seeing Petes buddy on the CR250F ride that thing faster than anything I have seen, im going to say its the rider not the bike.

90% rider, 10% bike. I bet most people would be faster on a 125 after they learn how to ride one. Mainly because you have one speed on a 125 - wide open.

But damn, a new CR500. Dude.

Yea my YZ is a beaut but I'm not married to anything other than my wife.

I tried a kx500 once at the dunes, and it was the rankest, angriest mother fu#%er i have ever been on. I swear to god it would have out accelerated a sport bike. It scared the snot outa me. No way i could handle a bike like that in the woods. I could barely handle it on flat sand. I think the novelty would wear off real fast on it if it was your only bike. It was impressive though.

WTF, Over?

I think you would be far happier with your YZ, considering that design is 7 years old whereas the CR500 is 15 years old. If you really want a 500, service honda is the way to go. Why not just get a big bore kit for your bike?

jake has come through for me before, I fully suspect he is just trying to find all his clothes and finishing up breakfast

I have a couple friends up here on CR500's and they don't have any complaints. Both are my size.

I hear the KX was a harder bike to ride.

The '93-'96 Honda's were arguably the best years of the their 2 strokes.

Like I said, it doesn't matter, I'm not speaking about practicality here.

It would hill climb the shit out of the big sand chutes up in noble. In 3rd, with out the front wheel ever touching the ground.

I too am running the Core EXP 2.0. The clutch on my bike might be a bit harder than stock but not by much. I really like the set up, when i am at dead engine starts i dont even put it in neutral, just leave it in first, kick, and go. And yes no bump start and be sure to grab your brakes if you stall on a hill.

Once Wayne gets the 500 he will likely have to get a lifted 4x4 and pull some sick wheelies up and down paved roads….lol

on a side note, just picked up a Shoei helmet today….wow what a nice helmet.
