Not much to be found on the Google. Shulaps Range trail, Brett Creek trail, and Jim Creek trail seem to be worth a look though.

Looking for route advice, maps, etc. please.

Sorry , no first hand knowledge , but have recently heard about a motorized ban on anything above 1900 meters . Hope that doesn't affect your plans too much . . . Those are some the areas I want to ride as well !

I've joined the motorized crowd! Way easier to get your bike licence in Australia so after getting my learners, taking the riding course and convincing the gf that I should spend more than originally thought…. I've got my own brand new bike :D Yamaha MT-03 321 cc 2 cylinder naked. Looks good and turns a few heads. Looking forward to getting past the break in period so I can actually bring it up past 8000 rpm

In case your curious here in Queensland I just squeaked in with their old licensing laws which update at the end of september. They're terrifying. I had 0 hours on a motorcycle starting out. 0!
Steps here are
1. Hold your car licence for 1 year
2. Take the learners test online (don't pay till you pass, only one try per day, feel free to have the book next to you). They then mail you your learners. You can now ride supervised. And only on bikes up to 660cc but they have to have a lams approval (something to do with power to weight ratio). Never did any rides (had the learners for 2 weeks)
3. Take a riders training course (called qride). You can take this course the day after your learners. I took a 2 day course that was around 6 hours a day. First day was all on their little training track, day 2 some on course testing and then a group road ride. I know I messed up some signals and was nervous and too cautious. Passed though!
4. Take your paperwork to the licensing authority and BOOM! You've got a restricted licence. After 10 hours on a bike I'm now licenced to ride a bike at up 660cc. I've got so much practicing to do.

To upgrade to a full unrestricted license you take the same course but on a 660 that isn't governed after you've held the restricted licence for a year.

First ride on the bike home from the dealer was in the rain, at dusk. Nothing like trial by fire. Been taking it too and from work and had some good practice runs on some of the quieter park roads so I'm feeling much more comfortable now on it.

Looks like they only ship in the States. Too bad as the Gaerne's are the best boots I have run.

Interesting MT-03, I don't think they carry that model in Canada.

Had it for almost 4 years and I think I'd like to get something a little more powerful, possibly leaning towards a full on sportbike. Though those new FZ-10's look hot, I didn't find them especially comfortable.

The Ducati Panigale 959 on the other hand…

Updates to the fleet!

1981 Honda Goldwing 1100 - Wanted a physically bigger bike that doesn't make me look weird when riding it, but I like the stripped down style.

I also just grabbed this gem, 1985 Yamaha RZ350. Good from far but far from good type of deal. Plan on returning it to original colours then I'm not sure whats next for it.

And the fallback bike, 1985 Suzuki Intruder 750. I think my buddy wants to buy this one.

I have wanted a RZ350 for years! Prices have kind of went nuts on them. The old Goldwing is a nice ride too.

guy i know just picked this up from some guy on the ssc who spent a couple of years putting it together - one sweet bike.
