Drove down to seattle which was the closest showing of On Any Sunday, edited by the infamous Bouch, it was absolute hype. I strongly suggest people buy it online or go see it in theaters. Amazing shots, but not just eye candy, this movie actually has purpose.

yeah bro!!

dont forget all the PST on those used bikes. that should add up to much more than 10 million

Registration will cost me a grand this year and on my used bikes. luckily I already paid the taxes on my sled/trials bike

Some good comments that echo my sentiments in the cbc article. The only positive i see is that it will make it harder for people to sell stolen machines. This will probably cost more to run than it will ever hope to make. Especially when they have to hire people to enforce registration for the many people who probably won't voluntarily register.

ya i figure im 450-500 to register and catch up on the PST for every thing, including my platinum sticker and insurance for next year. I already paid the tax on one bike, otherwise id be around a grand too. Thats two bikes; no quad, sled or trials.

I have no issue with the plating/registering. A lot of other provinces having been doing this for awhile. At least here it will be a one time fee (so far). Hopefully it does put a dent in the huge amount of ORV theft in this province. And Bill 13 does have line stating that part of the fees collected are to go back into the trails. Another thing is that I hope it will make those certain douche bags think twice before riding in sensitive/illegal areas. Or at least make it easier to catch them.

But the whole PST on used vehicles crap. That's a whole different issue altogether.

WTF? Some of this looks pretty dodgey….

BCORMA negotiated:
(This section has been deleted at Government staff demand. We are not allowed to make public any item of discussion that was ever discussed in the JAG, including all the issues that BCORMA worked on on behalf of dirt bikers. I have been expelled from the Off-Road Vehicle Joint Advisory Group without recourse due to these removed bullet points.
The continued clamp-down on public discussion and desenting opinion within the JAG will only be changed through riders demanding a more open and publically transparent process. Contact your MLA and raise these issues along with decals as proper vehicle identification vs metal plates choosen by the Government)

BCORMA has to get off their asses and update their webpage more often. The BCORMA president is still on the ORV Jag. And Peter Sprague, who was kicked off, has been replaced by the BCORMA VP.

From what I can tell BCORMA and the rest of the ORV JAG members signed a gag order preventing comment to the public. Some sort of government red tape due to the findings of the JAG being used in a bill.

I think that BCORMA has done good things but communication to it's members is lacking.

The BCORMA thought the metal car sized license plates were a safety hazard and wanted decals. Plus where do you attach them to a closed course MX bike??? Anyways, the government rejected the idea of decals.
