I just discovered a practice track on the land owned by my place of employment. This has me jonesing for a dirt bike. Add this to my previous jonesing for a touring bike and I think I may just have a case of motorcycle lust.
I mean seriously, I could ride out my garage and to the track without even crossing the street. And they've got trails too.

That is right thanks apt…bobo showed me the ones you have and I was thinkin of getting them , but then he showed me these and I am glad he did…those trials boots are not as good for the adventuring we do where as mine are…kim uses her fox pro formas and loves them…

So we're about 10 or 12 km up some roads above our trucks at Nicklemine today and my kid wipes out crossing a pretty swollen creek, snaps his throttle of at the flange, and the whole thing, grip and all gets washed away, gone.
After he drags the bike outta the creek he starts digging shit out of his camelback and makes this out of a half dozen strap ties, two of the allen keys in his multitool, and some duct tape.
Was pretty amazed, it worked and managed to get the bike out over some tricky terrain.
