By the way, why do most of you guys think McGregor is not going to win? Any proper reasons apart from a strong dislike for the way he (mis)behaves in public, his attitude?

Make no mistake, that wasn't boxing:-)  That was a 40 year old man that just spent the previous 2 weeks in the Vegas strip clubs.  Watch Canelo vs GGG on Sept. 16th.  Best fight in the last 10 years IMO.  I haven't bought a fight since Tyson vs Holyfield, and I'm giving them my money full stop!

He spent the last 2 weeks in Vegas strip clubs that he owns, not drinking, promoting said clubs on the coattails of this fight.

Well aware that it was his club.  Probably shouldn't have included it in my accusation that he was an old man.  It was a brutal fight to watch.  I'm puzzled that so many people bought that fight.  I would have rather seen Mayweather earn his 50th against a boxer and Connor in the octagon.  I'm not taking anything away from Connor, but I wonder how many people would pay to see him (or any other MMA athlete) box again?  Regardless, Canelo/GGG has the makings of a classic.

I didn't pay for that fight... nor will I pay for any other fight like that.

I am no boxing aficionado, but I expected Connor to do far worse.

I did too, but I think part of that was Mayweather being so lame.  I think if you put Connor in with any contending fighter near his prime, he get's annihilated.  I'm not bagging on Connor.  He stuck his chin in there and took some punches from arguably the greatest fighter of a generation, and he got himself paid.  Though, I was glad when dude stopped it when he did.

I feel like the fans demanded this fight and were really the reason it happened at all.  I'm curious to know whether the people that really wanted to see this, feel satisfied with the results.  What did they want to see?  Did this in some way validate the MMA to the boxing world (or vice versa), or do people just feel duped?  Without understanding what the motivations were, I think I'd feel duped.
