The latest Pique magazine has some really good writing on this topic (article [HTML_REMOVED] letters to the editor). I don't know what the real deal is wrt the dogs and the business but after reading the Pique it became pretty clear that in the age of instant news [HTML_REMOVED] communication that the real story takes a back seat to the first headline, which seems to be less about providing information than about whipping up public opinion. In this case there were some pretty relevant, easily found out facts that didn't make it to the first round of headlines.
Is it just me or does it seem that the closer to instantaneous our access (and ability to spread) to huge amounts of 'information', the longer it takes to find out wtf is really the deal? Maybe I just need better filters.
