She should just be embarrassed and move on. An employer would never send you an upfront cheque for 5K if your a new employee just hired on craigslist.

Never ceases to amaze me how dumb people are. Same goes for scammers calling you. Just don't answer the phone! If it's someone you know, they'll leave a message.

Yea um sometimes slash most times for me its worth the risk to answer the phone. Call it living on the edge.
