Any chatter about the 99 and 3 being open to non essential traffic?

3 definitely still essential traffic only.  Probably 99 as well.

I've read on FB that the 99 checkpoint has been telling people that it would be essential travel only all winter.

A coworker went to Penticton through Wenatchee last week, which took 10 hours (including border wait).  He was able to come back via the 99 since returning home is considered essential.

Sounds like the #3 is getting the shit beat out of from the truck traffic, so just keeping it open will be a challenge until they Macguyver the Coq.

The amount of traffic on 3 must be crazy, alot of newer drivers would not be familiar with driving a highway in winter that is so shitty

the kind of damage hat happened to the Coq would take  months if not years

So these people are living on the side of the Coq in their RV between the washed out sections.

The stranded  guy Mike is now hosting the other vids on the channel, pretty comical.

3000 trucks/day on 3 according to the MoT:

Listening to the rad-eeh-o this morning they said that while the Coq will be open in a few weeks (to single lane essential traffic in a number of spots) it could take up to two years before the highway is fully operational again.

Any insiders update on when regular traffic from at least hope to the summit might resume? Or when #3 may become non essential? Thanks.

Today's announcement is the #3 being open to non essential traffic by sometime during xmas. Looks like the Coq temp repairs are going ahead of schedule.
