Opened by the end of January? Seems possible if it were summer, but this time of year could be a bad time for some of the construction required.

In view of all the other stuff that needs fixing and the fact hy 8 is not all that important except of course to people who live there,  if you are talking about a new highway 8  I would bet at least a couple years

I've spent a lot of time paddling and camping in that area. Beautiful country. I sure feel sorry for the people who lost their houses and land up there.
