Uhhh … not true. You pay less income tax in BC than Alberta if your taxable income is between $29,000 and $110,000.

http://lsminsurance.ca/calculators/canada/income-tax

And Alberta still had a bigger budget deficit last year (both in terms of $ value and % of budget) than BC. No wonder the sitting provincial gov't in Alta. is gonna get turfed out this election.

Wut? There's a solid north/south split that makes this a hotly contested statement, a major shake up in party leadership, and a strong campaign that isn't anywhere even close to over yet. People are realizing quickly that the Smith government would be much deeper in deficits than the Redford government is, and will likely vote with PC again - it just won't be a strong majority for the first time in years - more likely 55-60%.

I had a good visit with my friend and MLA at her campain office last Thursday.
I let her know that I was very unhappy but would support her with my vote again. I also mentioned if
the PCs don't take a hard right turn that this would be the last time I made a donation or voted for the PCs

The vote splitting between those on the right supporting the Wildrose and PC parties
will doubtless elect a few more Liberal or NDP Candidates.

From the article

The child was not injured during the ordeal, and the washer was also saved during the event.

There is no word on how his mother is feeling.

30 years..100 years. It's all ancient history and has no relevance today.

That is certainly true. If I were to choose teams to make it to the final this year it would be the Canucks or Pens. If they meet in the final, the Canucks. They know now what it takes to win after making the final last year and are realitivly healthy. If the twins show up,this may be the year Canuck fans finally get to do the Stanley Cup happy dance.

Awful. Just awful, employing a nation and all. There are 3000 people ON SHIFT at Syncrude's Ft. Mackay facility. There's what, 4 shifts? And that's only one mine/plant. Take your negativity and shove it.

So, can someone explain to this lib what the difference is between Wildrose and PC? I am guessing the one with a name that sounds like a country band is probably pandering to the rural crowd, but is there any real difference in platform?

Wildrose people are missing half their teeth, play banjos, dress in gunny sacks and live in the styx. PCs wear suits, have gold bracelets, use hair gel and work in Calgary or Edmonton. All this according to Decima Research.

 Sounds legit.

You asked for an explanation that a liberal would understand, so there you go.
