Living without a microwave...
never really had one and i dont plan on starting any time soon
Been without for 10 years. Old one died and decided to not replace solely on the idea that it would cut down on eating shitty food. Do use them at work when possible to heat leftovers. Ditched the drip coffee maker and shifted to press around the same time. Both great decisions for our lifestyle and ingestion quality. Can't live without my rice cooker though.
worried about microwaves, then you should probably crap yourself over the BBQ.
BBQ -[HTML_REMOVED] PAH's --[HTML_REMOVED] know carcinogens.
Enjoying your life is risky business (although a happy stress free life probably undoes all the potential bad).
Please let me demonstrate the ride around; really it's no trouble.
Question for those who do not have micros at home, do you use the micro at work to heat up your lunch?
is going big on a bike the only way to get you stoked on the sport? what happened to riding with your bros, travelling, and riding unique places, to get people stoked on riding?
fines are useless. there needs to be more punches to the throat.
except that Gamma Rays from the SUN -which are intensified on a glacier- have actually been proven to cause cancer, unlike microwaves which only have enough energy to vibrate the bonds between H2O ( water…) If it can't damage DNA, can't cause cancer.
So you're not concerned with ingesting too much iron in that cast iron frying pan?
just fear mongering here.
You mean UV rays right? Please tell me you don't really mean Gamma rays?

Absolutely. Not afraid of the microwave. Just said not having one caused us to make more creative leftovers and eat less processed food.
I eat 2 meals a day out of pyrex dishes warmed in a microwave more often then not during the week. Love it.

ok UV from the sun causes sunburns etc etc. You are also exposed to more gamma radiation which enters from the solar system in general which can also damage your cells.
Bottom line - the only radiation that can cause cancer are the ones that can damage DNA - UV and above.
If you're concern with microwaves is that they can cause cancer, that's probably your least concern.

Wife took the microwave when we split up so I decided to see if I can make it with out one.
why, money?
they used to cost a months salary but now they are really fucking cheap, good for cooking potatoes , steaming vegys, warming leftovers but i don't have that many and I don't eat shitty microwave dinners
i never had one until recently. my kids use it to heat up my cookies, lol. i guess it melts the chocolate chips? and we use it for popcorn - no not the packaged crap, kernels in a bowl. works well.
no big deal either way.
It's been over 12 hours wonder how hes coping
Pretty handy for "baking" potatoes, and sweet potatoes.. in seconds instead of 1/2 hours.
Also, waaaay more energy efficient than thermal heating, if you care about that sort of thing.
Good for warming stuff up, but not for truly cooking anything (other than said potatoes).
Great for disposing of old cellphones too!

not really i could buy one now if I really wanted to. although if I did I think i'd want an induction one so those are a little more pricey.
It more comes down to health eating. Microwave = shitty prepackaged food, tv dinners, and general crap. No microwave = me having to actually make something which is generally more healthy.
well you can use a microwave to heat up shitty prepackaged food OR use it as an aid in food prep
consider you can have a beer every day which is not a problem or drink the whole fucking case everytime you bring it home which would be a problem
… its not the beer or the micro wave that is the problem its your application of
