oh good idea, let's ALL smoke pot alone in our parent's basements, to sound cool on the internet! :coo:
if he's making 'pfff' noises chances are that he's already been down that road before
oh, very clever indeed
I picked up a 92 Jetta, 170,000KM, no rust, new paint (from vw dealer), new nokian all season tires (worth $600ish new), brand new tranny/service recipts from the day it was born for $1000.
Good deals are out there, you just gotta look around and dont buy the first thing that pops out. :)
I'm not a fan of all season tires, I guess they're good for the money. But I would feel safer with 2 sets of tires. Especially in a 2wd car in Alberta.

what about a Nissan?? i ahev an 02 Sentra and i love it. i researched cars in that range of compact cars and it was alittle more than the others but it was definitely worth it.
Being an agoraphobic adrenaline junkie would be pretty convenient, because you could get your rush from just going to the store to get some milk instead of having to jump off a mountain or out of an airplane.

After re-reading my posts I decided to delete them and do this instead.

Norman, if you're gonna buy used Japanese I suggest a Toyota.
They have the most reliable Japanese motors made IMO.
Sorry for pissing in your thread.

Norman, the 323's are really base and very expensive to upkeep., The 330s are nicer but are also incredibly expensive to upkeep,
Ditto the Audis.
You want a used car? I know they're boring but buy a Toyota.
edit - sorry I just parroted O_O
we had a 2001 330, wicked car on paper but it was a lemon. i bet there are just a lot of people trying to get rid of them. that year specifically was crap

So, at my price point, I'm looking celicas and preludes eh?
It's weird how everyone recommends toyota over honda. I always thought honda was the most reliable. Thanks for your help!

haha all this research and I'll probably end up taking transit just because it's $20/month for a pass.

Norm…You should look for a Celica GTS…turbo AWD. One of my all time favorite cars. Rare, but a sweet machine.
One of the nsmb'ers had one…I think it was Dan?

it drove really lathargicaly, super slow shifts (it was a sport automatic not a standard) very slow off the line. it had good top end but it took forever to get there and around town it felt like you were towing a boat

WHat makes european cars more reliable? Some of the best cars I've ever had, and these are old, higher km cars, have been Japanese cars.
We've had older BMW's, and to compare the two, the Japanese machines have faired better. Who knows? I am only one person, and both were pretty good cars.
