ISO Accountant

Anybody here have any references for an accountant who can handle personal as well as small business taxes for a sole proprietorship? 

My guy seems to have fallen off the face of the earth and I'd like to find someone sooner than later.

Have you tried doing it yourself?  Reasonably priced tax software does a lot more nowadays.  In the past I've used TurboTax Standard for my own sole proprietorship and they now have a more advanced small business addition.  There are also other software vendors.

I already do pretty much 90% of it myself, I just like the security of not having to worry about the CRA so much by having an accountant file for me.

Where abouts do you live? I can recommend someone on Broadway near Cambie if that's convenient for you.

I do most of the work in regards to filing myself and am basically just looking for someone to input the deets into their software and send it off to CRA. Should only be an hour or two of work so not looking to pay very much.

Sorry, we do our own in UFile.ca, alway accepted without issue in under a week.  Easy peasy.

Is that when the due date was?

Yep, but taxes due not payable until September 1. The problem is if you don't file by June 1 and owe money, they will calculate interest/penalties back to June 1 (and charge interest on the balance running until you pay).
