I just saw the trailer for the new movie "Hostel" and read the synopsis. I feel like I'm gonna puke.

For those of you who don't know, the movie centers around three friends travelling in Eastern Europe who are unwittingly rounded up and tortured by rich businessmen who pay money to live out their sick fantasies.

I know it's not real, but am I the only one who is disturbed that some people (namely the writers of such movies) think like this? Writers of such crap are truely sick and I find it scarey that they walk among us!

Salo? Do I want to know?

It's based on The 120 Days of Sodom, written by the Marquis de Sade. Do a search online.

I'd consider the most horrific movies of all time to be in order 3. Men Behind the Sun, 2. Salo, 1. Irreversible.

Blech.

PS. Your name is illomatic, you should like feeling ill.

I saw a trailer on tv and it said that paramedics had to be called to the screenings and people had to be takin to the hospital.

That is scary, I dont want to see it because it looks really fucked up, but I want to see it cause I want to see what acually happens. However I prolly wont see it

Pedro does bring up some good points, but being only one R off of Pedo …. discounts much of that

that what I saw in a trailer

I just found this quote however

The trailers bill the movie as "inspired by true events." Director Eli Roth says that he found a Thai website that advertised itself as a "murder vacation," offering users the chance to torture and kill someone for the price of $10,000. Roth later showed the site to Quentin Tarantino and the two developed the idea for the film. Tarantino and Roth said later on an Icelandic talk show that they have no idea if the website was real or not.
