How do i deal with rats

glycol and peamut butter traps are not working anymore.. i have no power to do ground outs.. anybody have secret family recepies?

Find a mean fucking cat. Seriously, it works. One of the grain depots I used to switch out would "adopt" wild cats no one else wanted that were on their way to be put down. Anything that moved, that was smaller then 20 pounds died. Including one of the secretaries chiuauauauauauau's

rat traps. Don's use poison, the rat will die in your walls and stick up the house. Also if it dies outside something will start to eat it and die too.

I'll find out the name of the stuff my Dad uses in the barn, it works really well. Its a pellet that the rat or mouse eats and when it kills it, it dries out real fast. Doesn't stink or anything. You have to buy it in the states though, apparently its illegal up here.

2nd the cat idea. get a few if necessary.

what i did for packrats in my house was to place sections of 6" stove pipe along their travel routes . inside i would place two traps facing opposite directions . very high success rate .

apparently the rats can't resist going through the pipe because they feel secure in there , and the bonus ( for you ) is that you can easily hear when you have a strike .

.22's work quite well also . don't know if you could use that in your situation , but i sure had a lot of fun with it .

I'd say blocks of cement on the feet and a 3:00am swim in the harbour.

That should take care of your problem.

I used traps, and you place them perpendicular to a wall section where they are likely to run. The other thing to do is to find out where they are going and block off all access to that area.
