We're doing AG for our 5gal batches, I'm thinking that the BIAB (beer in a bag) method for stovetop AG brewing is ideal. Thoughts?

Stove top ag brew in a bag 3g.
That is the video on it that has me wanting to switch to the smaller batch size for the next couple batches.
Also the smaller batches means more variety of beers.
Word, I'm doing it. The 2.5gal batch seems the ticket as (I agree with in_a_bath) 1gal is too small, 3gal could overflow and maybe tough for the stove to handle, and it's easy to divide all ingredients from regular batches in half.

That's what I said when I started, then I made a mash tun, bought a burner, made a wort chiller, now I'm looking at making a keggle. It's an addictive hobby, with the unfortunate side effect of making beer ;)

:woot: Bottled 21 litres of IPA today. Had a little taster of it, and the flavor seems good…. looking forward to how they they taste after a few weeks of bottle conditioning.
Brewing another IPA tomorrow to get my pipeline in order. :D
So who's brewing what?
Me:
A large IIPA Darker than normal, somewhat CDA ish 1.085 og to 1.012 fg. Huge hop bomb with a smooth creamy hot finish. I like it, it is the best IIPA I have made yet. 3 total all my own receipe.
Mirror pond clone.
Grabbed a receipe from the interweb, and headed to Bosa Grape. Well long story short the difference in crush of the mills used between Dan's and Bosa equalled me way over shooting OG by alot. It was supposed to be 1.050/1.052 I ended up with 1.063. I dumped some boiled water in, but bugged me so I stopped at 1.057. I used a white labs yeast (wlp002) for the first time. I normally use Wyeast smack packs so…. weird little tube of yeast.
Checking out all Blickman stuff was interesting. If I had money…..

I just found this thread!!! Great stuff on here.
My buddy and I just brewed our first AG last Wednesday (a mod bitter recipe of Dan's) and we got a half batch of a Scottish Ale sitting in a 12L Carboy ageing with some Toasted Merlot soaked White Oak chips in it. Should be out and bottled in a couple of weeks.
I'm looking at moving onto a CDA or a IIPA for my next batch.
Hey RossputiN, is it too late to put in an order for some Hops?
