$53 That is such a rip off. Quit wasting your time with kits and just go All Grain, join the real darkside.

Ps I see you on HBT forums…..!

when you go all grain do you buy processed malt not just malt barley correct?

I love the foot notes "**Note: Temps, times and weights are the challenge. Happy Brewing!". They tell you what, but not how much or how long.

on a similar, yet more expensive note:

Woah, that is steep. Also, I don't understand the issue with shipping yeast - other companies do it.

hey, don't I know you from the internet?

there's no way I'd pay $53 for a boxed kit of anything, although I'm loving my extract brews which are dead simple to make. $30 for 19 litres is pretty good IMO. That only gets you 5 bottles in a cold beer and wine.

Correct the barley has been through the malting process. I'm not that hardcore as to malt my own grains, altho I'm going to help a friend malt some buckwheat for a Gluten free beer.

$30 for an extract brew isn't bad I thought you guys paid more than that. My last DFH 60 minute recipe was more than that.

Home-made wort chiller in progress.

Don't mind the twist ties, to be replaced with Stainless wire, Spokes will stay.

Perfect fit.

just boil it up for 5 min in the wort before you want to chill it to sanitize, then chill that shit.

I'm at 15 minutes to get the pot (5 gallon) down to temp using big ice cubes made in tupperware. Let me know how quick that thing works.

OK, really, I don't know how big it is. I fill up about half the fermentor with it though.
