Hello all. Long time lurker, first time poster. My dream has finally come true and I am able to take off some extended time from work and come live in Vancouver this summer to ride. The only problem is finding a place to stay in July and August. Anyone looking for a responsible roommate during July and August or know of anyone looking? Preferably in North Vancouver near Mt. Fromme.

Also I[HTML_REMOVED]#8217;m looking for hints on sources to find a place to stay. Are their roommate bulletin boards out there? Should I put an ad in the paper (North Shore News?)? I have read many previous posts from people (in particular Europeans) visiting for their Holiday. How did you find long term housing that wasn[HTML_REMOVED]#8217;t a motel? Any hints, info, or leads would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Other people may have some other leads, but check out Craigslist:

http://vancouver.craigslist.org/

They have a rental section for housing.

Sorry for bumping this post again. I wanted to see one last time if any bikers needed a guest/roomate for July and August before I pursue Craigslist leads and end up staying with some anonymous person who doesn't even know how to ride a bike. If you got a spare room and want to earn some extra rent/mortgage money and/or want a riding partner, drop me a line. Thanks.

Its pretty unlikely - i've found 2 of my last 3 places through NSMB, but both times almost no one else replied. For the riding, drop me a PM when you get here.

Im also trying to hook a place up, a little more long term though I would say. Im heading downtown today are there any newspapers etc. I should try and pick up? I live in Halifax but I'll be stopping by a place with papers from everywhere.

The smell is sublime

i think my basement will be for rent next month. :)

ride a horse! 1200 pounds of raw muscle, power, grace, and sweat between your legs…
but riding bikes is still fun!
