Hey Guys,

I'm from North Van but living abroad and have a friend from Australia who's moved to Vancouver / Whistler for a year. Really into hiking and outdoor (not mtb though). Any suggestions on a reasonably priced book that outlines all the best hikes etc…. as in The Lions, The Chief, Black Tusk, Whistler area, behind Grouse, etc??

I wouldnt know where to start looking these days.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers

Start with Dawn Hanna's guide. You can get it at pretty much any local bookstore. Google it for reviews. I've used it, and recomended it for years.
Always buy it new so you get a revised copy.

If you're looking for something a little more adventurous, check out Scrambles in SW BC.

I was about to suggest those two as well. Both are sitting on my bookshelf.

That's the problem with cities, they're refuges for the weak, the fish that didn't evolve.

I don't want to google this - sounds like a thing that NSMB will be better at.
