so we'll have extra gridlock for 5 years while they build it

then we'll have 5-10 years of relieved congestion

and then, we'll be back to where we are today. maybe even worse the way that LOLO, edgemont and LV are getting built right the F up

but hey, putting this money into public transport would be a waste. as would putting tolls on the bridge

Isn't that the issue with all renewables? How do you store the energy you don't immediately need for future use // how do you power sh*t in down times?

How about a third crossing from Lonsdale to Granville but it's actually an extension of Canada Line that services the North Shore. Straight up Lonsdale to Lynn Valley. Replaces Sea Bus and is the focal point for most bus traffic on the Shore so provides further relief with less buses and cars on the other bridges.

dude c'mon, you're not supposed to post trail directions on the board.

We don't know what our limits are, so to start something with the idea of being limited actually ends up limiting us.

Its OK, the trail has since been decommissioned. Monica and Hazen Colbert successfully petitioned Council to have all trailwork and maintenance stopped on the Lillooet Cattle Trail 1878.

and at Triumph St. 20 minutes + from Triumph to Hastings

The raw, primitive, unrefined trails that see little to no maintenance are the kinds of trails that really build skill. What kind of skills do you learn riding a trail that was made by a machine, groomed to perfection and void of any rocks, roots or other obstacles that could send you careening over the handlebars?

And one at Westview, plus 3 more on the south side.

I used to say that there were 5 stoplights from Horseshoe Bay to Hope and I drove through all of them each morning on my way to work.

The whole of the North Shore is overcapacity regardless of the bridges. It's fucked.

This topic is actually completely relevant to our lives, as we've recently moved back to Lynn Valley and plan to stay for the long term. We rarely use our car, and travel through this area regularly. The cycling infrastructure is sporadic to say the least, and we will be at these meetings to find out what the specific plans around cycling are with the project.

I heard of Indian Arm to Squish but Seymour Crk to same should be a public works project.

There is already a Third Crossing. The train bridge crosses the Inlet about 200m East of the Ironworker's Bridge. The track runs within 100 m from Esmond Skytrain Station. "Coast Mountain Express" Squamish to Seabus in 30 minutes, or Squamish to Skytrain in 45. Oh yeah … the train has room for bikes, gear and other junk.

This is a super congested crossing as it is, and contrary to what you might believe the tunnel comes out near laughed and boundary, where is a pretty indirect route. I do miss the RDC's but on this route it's a no go, the shore does need another cross though.
