How about a third crossing from Lonsdale to Granville but it's actually an extension of Canada Line that services the North Shore. Straight up Lonsdale to Lynn Valley. Replaces Sea Bus and is the focal point for most bus traffic on the Shore so provides further relief with less buses and cars on the other bridges.

Its OK, the trail has since been decommissioned. Monica and Hazen Colbert successfully petitioned Council to have all trailwork and maintenance stopped on the Lillooet Cattle Trail 1878.

The raw, primitive, unrefined trails that see little to no maintenance are the kinds of trails that really build skill. What kind of skills do you learn riding a trail that was made by a machine, groomed to perfection and void of any rocks, roots or other obstacles that could send you careening over the handlebars?

This topic is actually completely relevant to our lives, as we've recently moved back to Lynn Valley and plan to stay for the long term. We rarely use our car, and travel through this area regularly. The cycling infrastructure is sporadic to say the least, and we will be at these meetings to find out what the specific plans around cycling are with the project.

There is already a Third Crossing. The train bridge crosses the Inlet about 200m East of the Ironworker's Bridge. The track runs within 100 m from Esmond Skytrain Station. "Coast Mountain Express" Squamish to Seabus in 30 minutes, or Squamish to Skytrain in 45. Oh yeah … the train has room for bikes, gear and other junk.
This is a super congested crossing as it is, and contrary to what you might believe the tunnel comes out near laughed and boundary, where is a pretty indirect route. I do miss the RDC's but on this route it's a no go, the shore does need another cross though.
