Do North American construction vehicles still spew as much black smoke as that Chinese underwater monstrosity?

Not even close. We're on FT4 (stage3B) now. Even a tier 2 running properly won't smoke much.

They're exempt. All mfgr's continue to produce pre-emissions engines for them.

Pretty happy we're breaking the bank to run clean, yet the most populous country in the world does fuck all. Same goes for India and Africa.

They're exempt.

only because Beijing exempts them, killing themselves slowly in the process.

Realistically IT4 and FT4 arent' that incredible. The black smoke you're seeing is the particulate matter and Tier 2 took out the majority of it, with tier 3 mopping the rest up.

You can still buy Tier 3 on most deere machines, but cat and komatsu are forcing everyone to buy it4

We were cutting a new ski run yesterday and the conversation came up "Whats it cost to hire an FB for a couple of days? "

I wonder who would know this info?

You folks are weird that way. The resources there, but no one wants to use it.

Lol, keep telling yourself that.

Canada, one of the least populated developed countries on earth, is the number 10 worst polluter in the world. Per capita emissions are triple that of China's.

1-at least NA and Europe are doing something about it.

2-so we pollute a bunch extracting the resources….where do you suppose the lions share of it goes?and what happens to it when it gets there?

Did you know that you cannot even run a modern diesel engine in Chins because they refuse to remove the sulfur from the fuel, not to mention water and dirt?

Not saying our shit don't stink, but when the north American consumer has to shell out 4 to 20 grand more for an IT4 ot even more for a T4 machine…and the Chinese are still using 60's tech, everyone loses.

The only reasons canadas a terrible polluter is because of all the damn oil we produce.

North America and Europe spewed out plenty of pollution during the 19th and 20th centuries, while Africa and India and China were spewing much much less. Now that they want to get the same economic benefits as the west they can only do so if they do it cleanly? Seems pretty hypocritical.
