I suppose in the marine world you see alot of similarities to the loco world.

Are you guys getting natural gas too?

I love how their Fuel Savings graphic on page 5 shows a reduction of 121.9 to 117.5 million litres of fuel but it makes it look like they've saved almost 2/3 of the fuel… not the 3% it actually represents… making them look like they've made amazing changes…

To save fuel, they park the gas guzzling German made boats and run the old small boats. They run slower to save fuel, so the scheduled sailings are always late. Then they blame the late departure on "high volume" - like the sailing times were never designed to reflect a full load.

Here's what he head looks like without rockers or valve bridges. All 4 valves are exhaust valves as the emd has intake ports.

got to view very very large pair of diesel/natural gas flex fuel motors working today.
The engines idle on diesel, and eventually reach almost pure 97% natural gas at full rpms. Diesel is still needed for ignition.
