lol

Interesting machine. What's the maximum tree weight? How does the operator know what's too big? Do they have to take into account tree height, ground slope, etc,?

If you can't wrap the arms around it,it might be too big.

And yes to the other questions

Double cut the back, and get behind em. Or the buncher operators could head into draws. Everything is taken into account. Experience is a big thing. Helps when youve run the machine since it was 12hrs old, and its got over 8,000 hours on it now..

looking closer at that pic, it was just set up for the camera wasnt it?

Imma guess that tree is 28" x 80-120 ft tall. Drop that with a 21,sitting as it is in the pic and you'll likely pull the machine down the hill with the stem.

Nice pic though,

Double shifting?

I've always been curious about the cat/tk bunchers. No one runs them around here tho. Comments feedback?

Just me running long days.
One of the better cutters I have run but not a fan of the ICAN system in the cat. All controls are fly by wire so if a sensor screws up anywhere on the machine, the ICAN system will derate the engine and hydraulics and you need a laptop with the ICAN software (which only Finning can get) to fix it.

Would love to sit my ass in a Tigercat 822C
