Those machines look they would only work on 2nd and 3rd growth. I am on the right track?
Old growth is still done with a chain saw right?

"narth…way narth bye." how did you end up with Baywop as your location?

is going big on a bike the only way to get you stoked on the sport? what happened to riding with your bros, travelling, and riding unique places, to get people stoked on riding?

fines are useless. there needs to be more punches to the throat.

This is where I'll be working come May. Pretty sure this is one of the smaller 35 ton trucks. They have a few 50t as well.

That's the problem with cities, they're refuges for the weak, the fish that didn't evolve.

I don't want to google this - sounds like a thing that NSMB will be better at.

these days i hang out here… if you have a few minutes it is a pretty cool video on that site of the first few eyars of consuruction here. i only came for the tail end. punchlisting and commissioning. boring work.

But there's surf!

This is the tug I'm working on right now.

Seaspan Royal
144ft
2x 16v645(C.I./cyl) 6300hp

That's way better than log towing. We had a new captain that had a hard on
for log towing. I did that for one day. Thankfully he was an idiot, got fired
and won't ever be working in the industry again. I tried getting on with SS a
couple years ago, but they weren't hiring.

I know it's not as big and luxurious as the SS boats, but it pulls well. Schedules
not as good as 2on/2off, but it's better than going deep sea:

He lives up north now, old growth trees are only 18" thick ;)

Bunchers see work in some old growth stands, but forwarders no. Logmax makes a head that will do 32" logs or something like that. So mechanical does get into the old growth, it just takes more cuts per tree.

They are fun. I used to OP an old 980 with A bucket, jib and forks. I had so much for with that old girl.
