I know there's a bunch of audio guys on here that might be able to help me out. I need some travel phones, I like flat sound, I don't want to look like a douche (well, I don't want my headphones to add douchiness to my already douchey presence), and I don't want to spend over $100 or so.
Any recommendations? I'd prefer over-ear rather than in-ear, but really whatever.

Grados are a terrible suggestion for a travel headphone. You're very likely to be in places where you don't want other people to be annoyed by what you're listening to, and places where there's a lot of background noise.
Something sealed by sennhesier would be my best bet.

OK everyone is going to laugh their asses off at me but here goes.
I bought some el cheapo Maxell noise cenceling headphones on ebay.
While they are not high end headphones by ANY stretch of imagination. They do work decently as noise cencelling headphones and hey they were under $20!
I brought them to where I used to work (airline) and we did a little head to head test with some overpriced bose units, while the bose did better the maxells were deffinetly not that far behind as far as the noise reduction goes, we really were not looking that closely at sound quality and hey I am half deaf from working on airplanes for years.

Grados are terrible for anything other than a quiet room, I missed the travel part.
