Actually, it's another "Harper is destroying the fabric of our country" thread.

Kn.

When one person suffers from a delusion, it is called insanity.

When many people suffer from a delusion, it is called religion.

Yup.

The free-market has produced a monopoly of "news" dissemination. It would be in societies best interest to either forbid anyone from owning multiple media sources or there being a state-owned source that has as many checks and balances on bias as possible.

The former is easier than the latter.

Harper taking control of the CBC is the worst of all possible scenarios.

Yep

Do you like Harper?

Yep

That's the problem with cities, they're refuges for the weak, the fish that didn't evolve.

I don't want to google this - sounds like a thing that NSMB will be better at.

So, do you really think the CBC is unbiased? Do you think Global News,CTV et al are all biased?

FWIW I don't think it should be privatized..

Rad hair, hot wife, unregistered guns in my hall closet, a bible under the seat of my truck(the salesman was conservative), I just don't get the hate.

Biased/unbiased,no Canadian government should have control over any media outlet. The opportunity for abuse is far too great.

Accusations of 'liberal bias' against the CBC are greatly exaggerated and they're way more balanced than they get credit for, Rex Murphy and Evan Salomon are push over con talking pieces imo.
