Guns in America

You don't need to be a gunsmith, although if you are you can probably do it freehand with a drill press and some sandpaper. All you need is to have access to a CNC machine. And before you know it you have an untraceable (because no serial number) fully functioning automatic assault rifle. This world is getting shittier by the day.
Typed in "Milling Low" into Youtube search before "Milling Lower Receiver AR-15" was auto-filled. First video I clicked on had two cousin fuckers discussing how to mill up the lower with a few Porter-Cable hand routers and a Dewalt drill...
Well shit, I could never do that cause my drill is Makita.
Tough loss bro. How will you ever exercise your 2nd Amendment and stand up to tyranny now?
Ahhh, guns. NBR is still NBR.
Personally, I think the 2nd amendment was a colossal mistake when it was created, and how it has been interpreted since. If you look at the history, it was created for one reason only, to protect slave owners from uprisings. All the rich whites in the south knew that if Congress banned armed militias the gig was up. Their armed militias were the only thing keeping the slaves from saying "go fuck yourselves", so they fought to get it into the bill of rights under the guise of protection from tyranny.
Since then it has become a right for every Tom, Dick, and Mary to pack weapons anywhere they want because for some reason the Supreme Court never can see the word "militia" when they interpret the law. Now it is too late. You might as well regulate sand at the beach, and like others have said, handguns kill the most people anyway while all the lefties fret over AR-14s. Americans love guns, and they have gun ownership as a Jesus given right, so more people die from bullets there. It really isn't complicated. I am not against guns, but like anything else that is potentially dangerous, it needs to be regulated.

, it needs to be regulated.
That won't matter. Americans will still keep on killin' each other. Sure, maybe not at the same breakneck pace but you have to remember that in America, violence as conflict resolution is seared into the national consciousness.
Americans had an armed revolution, a civil war, killed the native peoples/wildlife and then they just went with the flow and took their armed manifest destiny offshore. They're still at it.
If American foreign policy made an about face and behaved like, say, Norway, it'd still take a generation or two for Americans to chill the fuck out.

I agree with you. Like I said, you might as well regulate sand at the beach. Guns are already everywhere and Americans have had a personal arms race for so long it is almost hard to argue against them. I know if I lived in certain areas in America I would have a handgun on the ready.

An interesting statement, have to agree. A bit simplified but true. It took Europe a few centuries to figure out that arms need to be well regulated by the state and that violence as a solution does not really work in the long run.
Come to think of it, there are still some areas in Europe where killing in the name of family honour is a given, sort of.
Maybe the citizens in the US understand the idiocy of it all one day.
As sad as it is, it is kind of like burning one's hand on an oven or a fire. It takes as long as it does before a person starts to learn.

the thought process behind their gun beliefs may be dumbfounding . But are they any different by the public's with tobacco and alcohol ?? I myself have witnessed family members dying a horrible slow death caused by smoking , seen the grieve , the mental break downs , the whys?? And in the end , after their hospital visit that leaves them in tears , and depressed they light up a cigarette !!!! .

Highly unlikely. There is too much fear in their society.
It's stunning how many guns are in the USA. People that you think wouldn't go near a firearm actually have multiple guns.

This observation is true everywhere, I think, kind of like Hume's observation about the nature of man, and the apparent inability of some people to transfer knowledge/observations or see the forest for the trees. It took me years to finally be able to let go of that cigarette.
