Here's a solution

Lets keep this thread to appreciate all things that go bang

On that note….

Would this Bang be deemed excessive?

It's legal, but you can't blow up more than 1 lb at a time in Canada, per the Explosives Act (which is also what ammunition storage falls under)

yeah just toying with a mid range , the .22 seems limited past 100yds and not sure i want to get a bigger center fire ,

watched a guy take a ground squirrel out at 340+yds with a .17 Savage Heavy barrel B-mag , that,s a extreme shot but 200yds was very common for most of the other vids i watched on that caliber.

I picked up a savage 17 about a year and a half ago. Accurate as hell, but if you're shooting that far and wind really starts to mess with out. That 17 gr bullet gets blown all over the place.

That's the problem with cities, they're refuges for the weak, the fish that didn't evolve.

I don't want to google this - sounds like a thing that NSMB will be better at.

If you guys have a minute, my friend Shannon Landsdowne from Nanoose is in the Extreme Huntress competition and could use some votes. She's a fantastic advocate for the hunting community. Check out a few episodes and if you like what she has to say, hit up the vote page!

That Tika T3 30- 06 package is very tempting.

All the T3 pricing is good. I had a Zeiss Terra crap out on me within 8 months of owning one, so I don't personally like those scopes. When I took it to the shop to send it if for warranty, I was told it could take up to 8 months to get it back! So I bought a new hunting scope (Nikon Monarch 3). Zeiss didn't even fix my scope, they eventually sent me a new one 3 months later. YMMV

Thanks for the heads up! I was actually looking into building up a Tika T3 Light 30-06 with a extremely good 4x12 scope and Tally scope mounts. Any advice much appreciated! Unlike everyone else on this site I don't know everything:D

Everyone has opinions about scopes, Brother Lu. I have been very happy with my Nikon Monarch 3. It is a 4-16x50mm. Comes with a no questions asked warranty if needed. My rifle fell out of my gun boot on the quad this year, scraped the scope pretty good and it held zero perfectly.

But some people are brand loyal - swearing my Leupold or higher end Zeiss. The only scopes I would stay away from are Vortex - they seem to sell a warranty, and one that you will almost inevitably need

I've a Vortex scope for two years now with zero issues. It's been banged around my truck a fair bit and I've never had to zero it again. Plus they're cheap.
