Here's a .22 field target rifle, pump action airgun I built.
Based on a crossman 1322 pistol.
I made the stock and machined most of the parts on it myself.
Very accurate :)You forgot the pic.
I think this is it….he posted it on the third page

Not sure what happened there but yup that's. My baby:)
This whole project was all about learning how to do this properly and now I think I am ready to try another project with some of my other stocks. It was a lot of labour but a lot of fun, I really enjoyed seeing it slowly come back to life.
i'm not really following this thread but wanted to say nice job Ian. i know the satisfaction one gets from a project like this and it's something to be proud of whether it's your first time or your hundredth time.
We don't know what our limits are, so to start something with the idea of being limited actually ends up limiting us.

Nice work on that stock!
Thanks Splinky - I am proud of how it turned out, though it's almost a sense of loss when it becomes part of what you are thinking about over several months. I guess like finishing a new trail - the excitement to see it finished, the loss of seeing it no longer being just your imagination.
yes i had a fun day with the 12g and the canoe, the SXP is getting nice and smooth as it breaks in, the canoe is nice but requires lots of maintenance, i think i want to add a sea clipper to the fleet next. pics here.
The giant front sight was stupid, and I didn't want to add a ghost ring rear sight to the gun so we made a bead sight for less than a dollar.
^ that bead looks much better. I have tried a couple of fibre optic sights on shotguns and they are nice to use as well.
^^^ I like that combo. I love my Clipper Prospector but that wood is gorgeous. Post some more pics if you have them. Maybe we need a canoe/boat thread.
Prospector is probably one of the best wilderness canoe designs of all time.
Great for trips great for solo paddling.
I am lucky I learned to paddle from the masters back in the late 70's in northern Ontario.
Love the old cedars strip canoes.
I just reloaded my first 20 rounds of 7mm REM MAG. I did a variety or bullets and used a balance beam and digital scale, I shall run them through my chrony and see how they do there and on target.
My 7mm MAG is an old Parker Hale with a slow twist, so it prefers lighter bullets versus the nowadays "the heavier the better" the young guys at the gun stores tell ya. Splitting between balance beam and digital scale, I loaded 67g of H1000 and did the following bullet types: ( 8 ) 154g Hornady Interlock SP, (6) 150g Nosler Ballistic Tip, and (6) 139g Hornady SST.
Been nervous to reload the big magnum cartridges but I think I have done enough mistakes with my handgun rounds that I took my time, rechecked everything twice, and I'm confident these should work well. Looking forward to some time at the range to test them!

I remember spending hours and hours as a kid with my dad handloading ammo for hunting. Good memories.
I no longer need my amnesty as of yesterday. I am very happy to leave my criminal status by the wayside and join the free folk.

So why did they wait until the day before calling an election to do that for you?
